yes sadly guys my minty got a really bad infection in his hoof n theyve had to cut it rite bac.... wen the infection is cleared up he gotta hav an artificial hoof has neone had any experience with this?? also hes got to hav sum sorta feed suplement for his feet. ive heard farriers formula is one of the bst bt it also happens to b the most expensive. my frend givs her horse jelly in her feed coz its sposed make theyre hooves strong any advise/info gratefully recieved xxxxxxxx

hey, sorry to hear that hannah, hope minty gets better soon. never actually heard of an artifical hoof though. farriers formula is meant to be good, there is also a product Formula4Feet that is for horses with poor hoof horn quality, cracked hooves, weak heels and those at risk of laminitis (only cause it was developed by The Laminitis Clinic), think it also contains other vitamins and minerals for coat quality etc. it has 20mg biotin for a 450kg horse/day, not sure how this compares to F.F.? more info on it on www.equilife.co.uk/formula4feet.htm. hope this helps hannah x

hehe my boy had to stay in the other week as he had a cut on his leg and couldnt get it muddy and he got soo much food just to keep him quiet and he loved it hannah ;D xxx
