HI everyone,
Im glad I have found an outlet, and a place people will understand with regards to my recent shock!!!
I was offered a very cheap welsh cob section D colt coming 3 yrs old, I have a gypsy cob gelding, who is just coming up 2, he is so laid back he is horizontal, literally the owners were in a desperate situation, and before I had even seen him, I was arranging transport.
When I first saw him I thought he was very pretty and he was acting up tied up, not what im used to, seemed a bit full of himself but they explained he hadnt been turned out in weeks due to lack of grazing, so despite my self i handed over a small amount of money and loaded him up - without problem.
Ive had this horse two weeks, everyone said he was jaw droppingly pretty, and i couldnt get past his messing about initially, he jumped out of the stable, mouted the geldings, I rolled my eyes several times and threatened to give him away! LOL
after a few days, when he had got into a routine was having regular turnout I realised that this horse is spectacular, good looking, well bred, friendly, intelligent, calm, cheeky, fun and adorable. I gelded him after having him a week and he is over this very well.
I NEVER would have bought this horse if I thought I would fall in love with him!! I wanted to train him up and sell him because other people like welsh cobs, but not me!! but quite frankly ive been blindsided, he is just fabulous, I have NEVER considered buying a welsh cob, ive had bad impressions of them in the past.
So now I own TWO horses. LOL!!
My husband asked me when I would likely have my "project" backed and sold, inside I was panicking, I cant part with either!!
