Hi I have a Section D mare 7yrs by Abergavenny Defiance. I have owned her for three years and dont know if it is worth trying some ridden show classes, as she is only 13.3hh. I get told by people that she is a quality mare, but should I let her small size put me off ? Any showing advice would be apreciated, as I have no experience in showing Welshies!

I have a 14hh Mare. Do not show her under saddle but she is much admired in her carriage and harness. Do not let the size worry you, most 'D's are huge these days but that is a fault in my opinion. Good luck with your pony try everything is my motto and if the judges do not like her try something else. Have fun

You wont know till you give it a try I know a section D gelding who has won everything undersaddle and did well inhand too and he was only 14hh. I think alot of the D's nowadays are quite big, but you shouldnt be put off Good luck!
