Hello just wondered if any one knows about pony racing before the pony club started doing in a couple of years ago. My mum brought a 13.2hh pony in 2000,who is a total nut case(but very lovely  ,we were told later that she had been raced and came from a market in Wales(don't know which market,bet theres loads isn't there).We don't know where she was raced .Do they race ponies in wales? I can't find much about it apart from the new pony club races. |

That sounds like Misty,she is fast and fearless while doing games once she nearly ran into a parked car,(i have more control now thankfully )and she also walked into a lampost, luckily not very hard and didn't hurt herself she only knows jog-gallop, if you do want to trot you have to stick your feet forward,don't rise and hold on tight!!! but she is as safe as houses and getting steadier. That could be the type of races they ment  It does sound like fun though ;D |

lol think we have the point to point ones near us as i think (i may be wrong) they are often organised by hunts as they organise the point to points. would make sense though as i think the ponies have to be hunted before they are allowed to race. think my boy would enjoy racing, especially seeing how fast he tried to go today lol   hannah |

Wales pony riders sound like lunatics,do they have a drink 1st?!!i think it definatley sounds like the sort of thing misty's done.i'm glad i found out 7yrs later otherswise i might have not tried doing games on her!!mind you she used to get the crowds going ;D Rosiehannah - i think my cob would like racing to,but he'd soon frizzle out  |

lol my boy is so full of beans at the moment he probably wouldnt stop when we go out, there is no such thing as a long ride he walks so fast, you think its taken forever, but actually its been so quick gypsy...bareback i wouldnt last two minutes lol hannah |
