Hi I'm looking to register a prefix, as I'm going into breeding a bit more than before.
I live in the Valleys South Wales have one that I called Harddwch Ddu which means Black beauty, nnot sure whether to carry the Harddwch Ddu through but I have already bred another 4 foals after this one so they don;t have the name.
Give me some suggestions, I won't it to be punchy but simple but preferably Welsh seems as they are Welsh Cobs, something that somemone will remember!
Give me some ideas. My main mare who produced the others is Black and her name is Heoldraw Misty Pearl, just trying ti give soem inspiration.

I don't think 'harddwch ddu' would be allowed, because it should be one word (for more information go to http://www.centralprefixregister.com). You could perhaps make it 'harddwchddu'. Or what about 'perlddu' (black pearl). I am sure your Welsh cobs are as valuable as black pearls and it's named after your main mare. It's a co-incidence, but today I got confirmation from Welshbelgium that on 22nd-oct-2006, my prefix "YSEWYN" has been officialy approved. I took "Ysewyn", because it is my surname and (to non-Welsh people) it looks a bid Welsh with the "y"s en the "w". It is old germanic and means "Iron friend" (one of my ancestors was a knight). I was a bid afraid that they wouldn't approve it, because there was already an "Yswain" and that sounds quite similar. So as an alternative, I had suggested "COBWYN"... Taking "cob" and the 2nd part of my surname together and meaning "Friend of the cobs". Anyway ... I hope you'll find a nice prefix... and even more that you'll have the joy of breeding a lot of beautifull Welsh cobs with your prefix
