@hannah Thanks for the nice comments. I hope her foal will be a filly. @gypsy Thanks. I didn't choose the stallion myself. She was already covered when I bought her. The stallion, which was used, is her halfbrother Rhanwid Llewellyn Comet www.allbreedpedigree.com/rhanwid+llewellyn+cometI am still thinking about using Terackie Winter Shadow for her, but that would be for 2008 then. Because she will have a foal at foot next year (2007) and I don't see her travelling that far with a foal and - unfortunately - T.W.S. is not available via A.I. rhiI bought her from somebody in Belgium and she was born overhere, but she has an English pasport. She's very 'Geler'-bred, so maybe your friend's mare had lots of Geler-blood. You can see her full pedigree at www.allbreedpedigree.com/rhanwid+daisy and if you look for progeny, you can also see her colts of this and last year. *** correction : there are no pics of her progeny on allbreedpedigree, but you can see them on users.poink.be/ysewyn_welsh_cobs *** Kind regards, Stefan.

Daisy's foal will have Geler Llewellyn as grandfather on both sides, because his dam and sire are halfbrother and -sister. I know, it's very close and I would probably not do it, but it is like that. So let's hope the foal will be as fabulous as it's grandfather @ welsh girl thanks. I hope, your right and that the foal will be a stunner. I'll post pictures when it's born, but we'll have to be patient for a couple more (7) months.

hi lotte, It is recommended not to ride the first 3 months of the pregnancy, so that the 'foal' can nestle well. The last 3 months it is recommended to slow down a bit, but it is said that it is better that mares work lightly then when they do nothing at all. In fact, I started breaking my mare under the saddle when she was 4 months... and she's doing very well... Of course, I am very (maybe too) sensitive with her. Regards, Stefan. P.S. Thanks for the nice words about Daisy ;-)
