Hi all I am new on here, seeing it advertised on another forum. I have a welsh cob mare, about 14.2, bought from the sales 2 yrs ago. I now drive her also, and she was such a good buy, and has been good with me learning to drive a year next month. we think she had previously driven. here she is with my instructor, must get some of her and me. I bought this carriage for her off my instructor. and the first RDA one, 2 wheeled we put her to 1st. this is hubby and I, this was a bit small for her, but only had it a couple of months.

Hi rosiehannah, Im not sure of her breeding, I bought her from the Melton Mowbray sales, do you go on IH site, know I've seen your name somewhere. I only got a passport with her, and that was only done because horses couldn't go through sales without a passport. I spoke to woman whom owned her from Lincolnshire, she was a dealer, and had alot of horses go through, apparently she said Beauty my mare (was Charm, dark secret) came on an exchange from Scotland, they had her 8 months. at the sales their was nothing about her, I was one of the lucky 3 to of quickly ridden her for about a minute, as kept her tac off till nearly time to go in ring, I fell in love with her, never went to buy a horse though. dealer offered woman £1500 for her, straight off the trailer, I argued. she acted oddly in being ridden, so lots of questions later, I got help, long lined her etc and finally drove her, 1st in that 2 wheeler, then got my 4 wheeler. we had driving friends that gave me instructions what to do, and I carried on alone. September, believe me, Im not the most confident of people usually, but I stuck it in my head, I was going to sort her out, and that I did. she was quite overweight when I got her to, and a nervous wreck. she is a very people friendly horse, loves children. I took her to the hospital I work at, and the joy on their faces was something to remember. I shown her in hand for my 1st time last year, at a local show, and got 2 x 1sts, and 2 trophies, and highly commended, on her conformation, and the training I had done with her, due to my bodylanguage I use, I was so shocked, the judge noticed.

hi there im on a few sites, horsemart, hamlets house, saddlesoap well done with her, sounds like you have come a long way with her, she looks fab in her driving gear. at a show back in the winter when i was waiting in the ring for the next class to start some guy in the gallery told me that my boy should be put to harness, would love to see him like that, but hes not getting any younger and we wouldnt have a clue what to do ;D i suspect that he wouldnt be too keen on it to be honest and well done for the inhand result, she is a lovely looking mare hannah xxx
