Hello,
I didn't know where to put this thread, so I have put it under coffeeshop.
If anybody on this list speaks Welsh, could you please check if the following is correct :
- blaenaf merch am llygad y dydd - trydydd mab am llygad y dydd
If you know Welsh, I am sure you know what this is about. Alternatively, I am looking for name's of flowers/herbs/trees in Welsh (preferably starting with a 'D').
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Stefan.

blaenaf merch am llygad y dydd trydydd mab am llygad y dydd
translates to

dant y llew is dandylion in welsh.

thanks for the reply WELSH GURL HJ
I translated it (from english into welsh) using a translating progamm.
It might be possible names for my Daisy's foal that will be born in may 2007.
I just wondered if the grammar was correct.
Anyway. I have to go now (I'm emailing from work and I have finished now). I'll be offline for a week. I am going on holiday in England. Will be visiting the Taraco-stud (and hopefully Danaway to).
Take care & I'll be back online as from the 29th.
Regards, Stefan.

Hi Kirst, No, sorry I don't know what that means. I don't speak Welsh, I have just tried to translate those things by using : www.bbc.co.uk/wales/learnwelsh/ If there is somebody on this list that speaks Welsh, please let me know some names of flowers, trees, herbs, ... in Welsh. Preferably starting with a letter 'D'. My Daisy is due to foal in may next year and 'cause Daisy is a flower (and her grandmother was named after a flower) I would like to continue this and give the foal a name that's a flower (for a filly) or a tree or herb (for a colt) aswell. But I would prefer to give a Welsh name. So far I am thinking of 'Derwen' (= Welsh for oak) for a stallion. I haven't really found anything suitable for a mare yet. So any suggestions are welcome. Regards, Stefan.
