Hello I have recently bought a chestnut colt with a white face but a friend told me that judges like a lot of white but not too much on the face. Has anyone had problems with this whilst showing I would send you a picture but not sure how to do it can anyone help???

hi, not really sure about white face question, one of the joys of having a welshy with very minimal white, he has got a dot of white on his top lip, not that you can see him and as he is getting older he has gained a few flecks of white to form a tiny star almost. anyhows im sure one of the other lovely people on here will be able to help you with the white question posting pics... if you go to www.photobucket.com and click register/join up (cant remember which!) and follow the steps to getting a photobucket account. you can then upload photos from your computer onto the site and once they are hosted, copy and paste the IMG code into posts/signature/avatar to use them hope that helps hannah xxx

hiya, i had a 3yr old with 4 white stockings and a big white face, he certainly stood out from the croud and judges loved him, i think white faces look great on any horse, it just depends if the judge is a white facey person if you get me lol. Champ has qualified and been to HOYS this year as a 6yr old, will be competing at olympia in a week or so, at all competitions he has been commented on how lovely his face and leg markings are, so i would say theres nothing wrong with a white faced horse. If anything it just adds a bit of sparkle! Hope this helps.

id say it doesnt really matter. its about 50% conformation, 40% turnout, 10% little things like markings and temperament! aslong as he's got a nice well set head it shouldnt matter! it depends on whos judging realy.
