hi when is a mare to old to breed i have a mare she is 13 i would like to put her in foal next year what do you think

Would it be her first foal ?
If she has had a foal before, I don't see a problem. My mares dam was 26, when my mare was born.
If it would be her first foal, I'd say "it's now or never"... I wouldn't wait much longer for a first foal.
Best thing - of course - is asking to your vet, what he thinks about it. After all he knows her medical history.
If you decide to breed... good luck with it.
