Im a total novice to showing one of girls on yard has offered to show my lad at the local show in-hand, he's 3 and a half sec d good lines btw, prob is i havent got a brown bridle and short of funds at mo to buy one, any ideas ?? also he was battered in field yesterday cos he's a total dope and just stands and takes it, so he's full of kick marks so to me its an omen for weekend , its only a local show nowt special i may take him down just to have a wnader about with the others off yard that are going, will the judge mark him down for kick marks if i manage to rob some money off my fiance for a bridle that is ? people on yard are saying take him as everyone loves him he is a stunner, but he looks a bit too battered for my liking ...what would you do ? advice please please.. an thanks for reading jackiex

hi i wouldnt worry about not having a brown bridle, although i have a brown inhand bridle, i mainly show my boy in black tack as brown looks odd on him (hes black). if you are worried about being marked down for the kick marks you could just take him down to get used to the atmosphere, see what the competition is like and possibly enter then if you want. by the weekend the kick marks will probably look less obvious. perhaps you could just take him in the class for the experience this time and see how he fares? then you may be able to talk to the judge after the class and see whether they would mark down for kick marks or not have you got any pics of your boy? he sounds lovely hannah xxx

Hello.I won't worry about anything,if the judge likes him ,it won't matter what bridle you use or if he has any marks on him.My Lady has a very bad scar on her leg but she's won and beat county ponies. It will be a great experience for your boy and I'm sure you'll both enjoy it ;D
