Epona and Daisy on show today

Today (15/8) we went to the International Welsh Pony and Cob show in Gavere (Belgium).

For Rhanwid Daisy it was her 2nd show (1st show was as a 2-year old on the National Show in Belgium 2003, where she was placed 1st).
Today she was placed 2nd, which I think was good, considering she's been in the field the whole summer.

Her is a picture of her (she was shown by a friend, who owns Daisy's eldest son Rhanwid Dario)



After that it was Ysewyn Dame Heather (aka Epona)'s turn to show. It was the first time she competed in a show ....



And she was placed 1st

Since Epona won her class, she could also compete in the section championship... and she was placed reserve champion section D(an adult stallion was champion).





No need to tell that I am surprised (that she did beat all the mares that were older then her) and very proud, but I bed you can see that on my face ;D

they both look fabulous, you wouldnt think that daisy had been out in the field all summer, and epona is becoming a beautiful little mare

@ rosiehannah : thanks. Yep, they both have been out in the field all summer. I took them out of the field on Tuesday-night. Daisy had a wash and they stayed in the stable overnight. Wednesday we went to the show. Epona is becoming a very cheeky thing. Like a real rebelling teenage girl *lol*

@ september : yes, they did enjoy it (and so did we). We only came for fun anyway. Didn't expect or hope for anything. Epona realy enjoyed it. She came in the ring and had a "look at me"-attitude
