Hi all, Finaly, I can reveal the news, because I am 100 % certain now. Today, I picked up my new Welsh Cob. A perlino yearling colt, named Sublime Sponté. His pedigree can be seen on : www.allbreedpedigree.com/sublime+sponteAs you can see, he is a full brother of Oeclide Sponté, of whom I have been talking in a previous thread. A 'not so good' picture (better ones to follow after the week-end)  And a little videoclip (thanks to Mme Patricia from the Sponté-stud)  We hope he will give us the buckskin foals, that we are dreaming off  |

Help... it's full of thieves overhere (Rosiehannah and Welsh gurl hj) Thank you all for the kind words. He's settling in quite well. He's friends with a yearling Haflinger gelding and they play a lot together. Below some new pics : Trotting Sublime and I Sublime and his new friend Lucky Daisy and Epona are still away from home. Daisy is not really interested in Geler Ryan yet. Miss them a lot, so I'll be visiting them tomorrow-night after work (even though it's a 2 hours drive + 2 hours back). Hope to have them back by the end of the week. |

Although perlino's have slightly darker mane and tail then cremello's. The main difference is genetically. Perlino is bay on which the diluting cream-gen has worked twice. Cremello is chestnut on which the diluting cream-gen has worked twice. Smokey cream is black on which the diluting cream-gen has worked twice. This means that perlino is also carrying black. If you cross a cremello with a chestnut, you have 100 % sure a palomino. If you cross a perlino with a chestnut, you have more % change for a buckskin, but a palomino or smokey black is still possible. |
