There is a little pony at our local show, she is well into her 30's,she must have not be ridden for some time but a family started doing games with her but she could only manage it at a walk but as the shows went on she got better and better and by the end of the season she was willingly cantering about and looked fabulous for it

maisie doesnt look that old niki your horse looks fantastic for 34! ;D my little old pony who we had to have pts last november was 35 or 36 and she was still trotting down to the field and up to mischief ;D she was still ridden well into her late 20s and early 30's and still jumped. she was still really lively, some of our oldies slowed down a bit, but she loved to be out in the woods with a crowd. My boy is already getting white hairs on his top lip and hes only 14 ill have a grey pony by the time hes 34! ;D hannah x ;D

Know what you mean! We lost our old boy in oct 2005 , absolute devastation. He was 27 and he'd been in the family since he was 2, well before I was born, Life without him is dull. It gets quite surprising when you think about ages and realise that they get older and time doesnt stand still this is jack, he's just turned 17 and you dont realise hes getting on unless he stands in the field looking gormless!

Yep Fizz is incredible!! He's starting to only want to go on shorter hacks, but is as nutty as ever. I've had him 15 years - got him from the trekking centre I worked at to school on and sell - the owner looked in the wrong book and thought he was 13 not in his 20's - so I treated him like a younger pony for years!!! It took me a week to decide to keep him - he decided straight away - he was obscessed for years about having his own person.
He did everything and anything - we went from refusing to step over a pole to 3'3" one day events! He lived up to his name of Fizz Bang Wallop, but would do RDA and look after kids!!
He's a great friend and very special person - a huge character.
Nxxx
