Big cobs can be beautifull, but - to me - they should keep the 'pony-type'. Many of the bigger cobs today become too 'luxerious'... Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that a cob looks (or should look) ordinary or whatever... but what I am trying to see is, that many - I don't say all - of the bigger cobs - although they are beautifull horses - seem to loose the (what-I-call) 'real cob type'. Maybe this might be worth a discussion (in another thread)... 'should the Welsh cob evolve and become more luxerious (I'm using this word again, because my knowledge of the English lacks a better description) or should we keep on breeding ponies that look more the old-fashioned / original type". Personaly, I prefer that we keep on breeding the original type, because in the end ponies/horses start to look more and more the same, whatever breed they are.
