@ jill : I believe you can load up pictures by using photobucket.
I have seen big welsh cobs too and I think they are quite impressive, but - personaly - I think they should still have the 'pony-type' (even though they are big). Some of those big welsh cobs look more like horses.
I have heard that the Mathrafal-bloodlines give big Welsh cobs.

hi hannah, do u show your mare she is very prity mind you all the welsh are prity, our tye can be quite cheeky, if he decides he wants to go his way and does not like where you want him to go he will ever anchor himself down or take off as if scared of something. he went away for a month to the lusitano stud with my daughter on work experiance and he came back a different horse, it did him good and taught him some manners. he was taught a bit off dreesage as well, the girls who own it are friends of ours and i would recomend anyone sending their horse there. thanks for reading my replys, i can go on a bit, speak soon to everyone.

hey i dont show my mare as she has no manners. i cant take her to shows as she is a naughty horse and is going away next month for six weeks of schooling. Its such a shame becuase she would do so well as she is an excellent jumper. we are jumping 3ft 6 and she is jumping fences higher than me on a lunging rein and im 5ft 8! hopefully she will have better manners when she comes back and we can start doing x country and show jumping. sorry for rambling on speak soon hannah this is lady being lunged over a jump.

Some of those big welsh cobs look more like horses. I think the same as they get bigger most of them lose there 'pony' quilties. There was 16hh cob that went though the october sale last year.

i suppose really it depends what you want to do as obviously a bigger cob can carry a taller person without them looking silly which seems to be why some breeders are trying to get them bigger and bigger! they seem to be coming back down again in height though about 2-3 yrs ago they all seemed to be massive my chap is 14hh and they all just dwafed him. as for showing, in my experience the older judge shall lean towards the smaller more traditional cob where as some of the younger ones arent bothered.
